Delicately carved blood jade pendant of Quan Yin. Quan Yin (also spelled Guan Yin or Kwan Yin) is the Goddess of Mercy, who protects both humans and animals in need. She sometimes in depicted pouring water from a vessel into the mouth of a thirsty dragon. In this depiction she holds a Ruyi in her hand and riding on a dragon as a representation of bringing good luck to you. She's carved in fabulous detail on the front and is wonderfully smooth on the back to lay beautifully against your skin.

Blood jade is a kind of very special jade, as it is believed to be very powerful in warding off evils! Look at the carving details, absolutely excellent craftsmanship!
